What do you tend to think of when you think of hypnosis? Many people think of a stage hypnosis show, where a hypnotist has hypnotized someone into believing they’re a dog or a duck. The audience then gets a great laugh to watch this person bark or quack, or even go all rigid believing that they are a steel bar. Now, this is certainly a fun method of hypnosis. But hypnosis has so many more and incredible applications that can benefit us in so many ways. I want to talk about one today: mindset. What is mindset? I like to think of it as a combination of your attention, your focus, your thoughts, and your emotions all, which come together to create a measurable visible result in your life. Mindset is so important. When it comes to achieving our goals and unlocking our potential, the reason for this is because it plays a crucial originating role in the end results that we see in our life. Our mindset creates our habits and behaviors, and these habits and behaviors are really how we spend most of our life and time on this earth. In turn, these habits and behaviors then create our life and our results. Any time we are going through a change or a transition or wanting to achieve something that is different, it is vital that we begin to shift our mindset towards what we want. So how to know if you may need to pay attention to your mindset? If you experience yourself feeling stuck in place, trying to make a change but circling back to the same unwanted spot again and again and again, this may be a sign that your mindset needs attention. It's so hard to have your attention, your focus, your thoughts, and your emotions run the same way and in the same patterns and expect different results. Hypnosis is a powerful way to do just that. Hypnosis helps to get beneath the surface exploring the unconscious habits of thought and feeling that are running us. Most people tend to fail to make change or to make it stick because they change the habit of action only. But an important role of the mind is that every habit of action is run by a habit of thought. It's important to change the habit of thought to make the most and lasting impact on the habit of action. And mindset work, especially with the assistance of hypnosis, can do just that. Regardless of whether or not you choose to use hypnosis, I'd like for you to ask yourself… Is there an area in your life where you are feeling stuck? And if so, what thoughts, what feelings may be keeping you stuck in place? And where are you putting the majority of your attention and focus? On what is keeping you stuck? Or on the solution that will get you free?
