I don’t think I can be hypnotized!

Believe it or not, most people are hypnotizable! Hypnosis is simply the term we use to describe a natural method to access subconscious conditioning through ordinary states of consciousness. You access these lowered states every day, often several times a day.

Is hypnosis mind control?

 

No. There is no such thing as mind control. A hypnotist cannot control you. You have control over your own thoughts and actions at all times.​Stage hypnosis is done for the sake of entertainment and still depends upon the willingness of the hypnotized person. You will remain very comfortable and relaxed and will only be taking suggestions that you want, related directly to your goals, dreams and desires. 

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

 

No. Hypnosis makes use of natural lowered states of consciousness that you experience every day, and likely multiple times per day. If you were in a hypnotic session that would abruptly end, you would simply come out of the session as you would from a daydream or relaxed state, and would continue completely in your normal state of mind, though with all the benefits of relaxation!

Do I need to be completely still in hypnosis?

 

No! You can move, shift around, scratch, clear your throat, speak, etc. while in hypnosis. It's ok! In fact, working with me, you will likely be speaking in hypnosis.

How do I know if I am hypnotized? What if it doesn’t feel like I’m hypnotized?

 

Hypnosis is a natural method, and as such feels natural! You are tapping into your body’s own ability to create change, and as such this may feel very normal, like you are simply in a relaxed state. However hypnosis feels for you is natural. Movies and TV often imply that hypnosis should feel a particular way, and this creates a lot of pressure to replicate an experience that is not authentic. It is natural, and it is different for everyone.

Can hypnosis be done online or only in person? Isn’t in person better?

 

Hypnosis is a powerful method that primarily is delivered audibly. You can have just as powerful results online and by phone as in person. For that reason, I offer online and phone sessions.​
